2023 prize giving – 6 May 2023
A big thank you to Aditi and Lee for hosting the prize-giving at their home! It was a fantastic night and a great bonding for us all.
The Club has an exciting year ahead but this night was about getting together and celebrating the school rowers and the new and growing group of masters who also started this year.

Awarded for: This members availability, help and dedication to all activities of the Porirua Rowing Club on and off the water (non college member).
Winner: Jono Debbage
Awarded for: Not necessarily the best coach but one that has shown a solid commitment to the clubs coaching programme.
Winner: Matt Hall, Nick Teare, Steve Crabb
Awarded for: The spirit blade is awarded to a rower who is voted or nominated for the award by their peers. The award is not necessarily for the best rower, rather the rower with a great attitude, good work ethic and dedication to rowing.

Awarded for: The member that has shown commitment, dedication and demonstrated positive attitudes towards the PRC masters’ programme.
Winner: David Dick
Awarded for: The adult/masters rower that has shown growth in their rowing skills, courage and a positive attitude. Must be new to rowing.
